The classes of my fall semester ended on December 6th this year and I will start my first winter class on next January 10th. So, this means I got like about three weeks off. It would be really nice to see my family and friends in Indonesia, but unluckily, I couldn't afford to get myself there and back here again. Which made me stay in my college dorm for the whole winter break. And of course, everybody here had went home to celebrate christmas and new year's eve with their families, so it's just me and the person who mans front desk, who are left in this dorm.
At first, I thought I would be super bored and slowly be getting insane. But it turns out that, I have successfully proved a theory saying, however simple one's life is, he would always be busy. In the beginning of my holiday, I spent days and days making the self-made christmas cards for my canadian friends. It was not that hard for sure, but the cutting-papers, the foldings, the drawings and the other elementary-crafting skills, did take like gazillion years (still, I am glad that I got tons of hug as return).
I also got a chance to visit some friends and family's relatives here, each for a day or two, and I got to know them better. I finally watched movies that I had been wanting to watch for so long. I got my laundry done. I finished some novels. And I still got many projects in queue. See, being alone is not so bad after all. But if you still think the opposite, perhaps, you just need to think out of your wired box and look around. You might also get inspired by this interesting youtube video by one of toronto's best cinematographers, Andrea Dorfman. I love one of the ending lines, if your heart is bleeding, make the best of it.
In the meantime, I also managed to make some delicious cookings. If I didn't get forced to cook by myself, I would never know that I actually inherited my mother's culinary skill. LOL.
You see that yummy bolognese
And the steak
And the sushi (with a grass plastic separator that I bought from Walmart) + special milk tea (teh tarik) only from Indonesia
And this fusilli that looks like a brain
